I already kicked off the month by starting two audiobooks and a physical book! Go me! Anyway, here’s my TBR for August!
1. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
I had this on my July TBR, but just never got to it. However, I started it just yesterday on audiobook! I’m only 40 minutes in, but loving it so far. Hoping that it’s just as good as The Hunger Games!
2. Paper and Fire by Rachel Caine
The sequel to Ink and Bone, I have high hopes for this one. I absolutely loved Ink and Bone, loved most of the characters, and I think this book will be just as fun. Like Catching Fire, I started this one yesterday, but it’s in physical form.
3. The Diviners by Libba Bray
The hype surrounding this book finally got to me, so I now really want to read it. So, like the other two books…I started it yesterday. I’m also listening to it because I heard that narration was really good, so I’m super excited about that.
4. Slasher Girls and Monster Boys by April Genevieve Tucholke
I believe I also had this on my July TBR, but didn’t get to it. I’m usually not one for short stories, but The Language of Thorns got me in the mood, so I decided to do a re-read of this YA horror anthology.
5. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
I snagged this at the library one day because I thought it sounded pretty interesting. I’m not really big on circuses, but I heard good things about this book. Also heard it’s a bit slow, so. Let’s hope it isn’t!
6. Not Your Sidekick by C.B. Lee
I’ve had this book for a few months and heard so many good things about it! And I figured that Renegades kinda got me in the mood for superhero stuff, so why not try it out! Plus, it’s pretty short, so it would be easy to finish near the end of the month.
There you have it: what I’m going to (try to) read this month! What about you guys: have anything planned for this month! Any of these books/audiobooks? I’d love to know!
Until next time~
