Hello, everyone, and Happy Halloween the 3rd to you all. I’m
(finally) getting around to my announcement post for Blogoween! It was created by Clo (Book Dragons) and a group of her friends. Without further ado, I’m just going to copy and paste some of the information from the original Blogoween post (which is also in the link from above, too).
What Is It?
A time for us book bloggers to take October, by it’s orangeness and go all Halloween, on it’s pumpkin self. Basically, get ready for Halloween themed posts from us through October! Some may be Autumn themed yet they’ll all be related back to books, blogging and/or writing.
How Do I Take Part?
Fill out that form and make sure to input the link to your sign up post! This is so us hosts can go blog hopping to you lovely pumpkins! (I’ll stop eventually my ghosts) When you sign up, link back to this post, allowing others to easily find the information.
There’s three levels, you can pick ONLY ONE.
Level 1: 13 Days of Blogoween
- Pick any 13 days to post
- Don’t have to be consecutive
- Don’t have to post on Halloween (but you can!)
Level 2: Pumpkins & Spice
- Must post on the 24th Oct through to the 31st Oct (that’s 7 posts)
- Must be consecutive posts
- Must post on Halloween
- Can’t change level
Level 3: Ghosted
- Posting EVERY DAY (that’s 31 posts)
- Can mix Autumn themes into your posts
- If you find within the first few days it’s too much, can switch to Level 1
That’s pretty much the gist of everything! It sounds pretty fun, but I’m not sure how much time I’ll have this month with classes and everything, so I’m going to stay with Level 1. I figured it would be a fun challenge, without being too stressful for me!
Oh, and on top of that, there are also prompts the group has made to help you with posts along the whole month of October. For certain days during the month, there are people hosting, giving different prompts and so on. For more in-depth information, this post is a great resource!
So, there you have it! I’m really excited to keep at this throughout the month, and I hope it goes well for not only me, but everyone else doing it, too!
Are you participating in Blogoween? Or maybe Blogtober? I’d love to know!
Until next time~
