BLOGOWEEN POST #1 | Halloween Creatures 2.0 Book Tag

Halloween Creatures 2.0.png

Hi, everyone! This is going to be my very first Blogoween post!! Cool, right? And what better way to start it off than with a book tag? This book tag is brought to you by Anthony, one of the hosts for Blogoween! Here’s his post so you can check out his answers, too! So, without further ado, let’s get into the rules, and then the tag itself!

Rules:

  • Answer all prompts.
  • Answer honestly.
  • Tag 1-13 people.
  • Link back to this post.
  • Remember to credit the creator. (Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward)
  • Have fun!

Witch
A Magical Character or Book.

Nina Zenik from Six of Crows is very magical… I mean, the ability to slow down hearts, choke someone out, make someone pass out, without even touching them? Count me in.

Werewolf
The Perfect Book to Read at Night.

Scary Stories

I loved reading this books as a kid, and I even tried a few of the urban legend tricks (I remember trying the one where you do certain things that allow you to see the ghost of a relative). Really creepy artwork, which is a plus.

Frankenstein
A Book that Truly Shocked You.

Ink and Bone

To be quite honest, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading Ink and Bone. I don’t know what it was, entirely, if it was the original setting, or the characters, or the plot. I just became more and more shocked as the book went on.

The Devil
A Dark, Evil Character.

I’m trying to think of a character from a book/book series that I don’t think is too common or that I’ve talked about a lot in detail, and I think Mr. Tiny from The Saga of Darren Shan would fit the criteria just fine. Just learning about what he’s done as the reader goes throughout the series is really creepy, and I remember being a bit grossed out by him by the end.

Grim Reaper
A Character that Should Never Have Died.

SPOILERS FOR MOCKINGJAY BY SUZANNE COLLINS AHEAD

.

.

.

Listen. I’m within a quarter of being done with Mockingjay, and all I have to say is that Boggs didn’t have to die. He could have lived a long, happy life, please and thank you, Suzanne Collins.

END OF SPOILERS

Zombie
A Book that Made You “Hungry” for More.

Son of Neptune

The Son of Neptune is the one that got me sucked into this series. The first one was still pretty good, but it wasn’t until this one that I started to eat the whole series up. And it wasn’t because of Percy, either; I just really liked the thought of a Roman camp, and Hazel and Frank were interesting characters. I think it took me less than two weeks to get through the series?

 Gargoyle
A Character that You Would Protect at All Cost.

Luna Lovegood deserves protection from all the bullies and everything bad in the world. Just let her have a good group of friends that accepts all of her eccentricities. (also, her and Ginny are totally dating, just saying.)

Vampire
A Book that Sucked the Life Out of You.

Social Code

I have plenty of books that I didn’t like reading this year, but this one from late 2017… This tops all of them. I have so many issues with this book, and I absolutely hated it, to the point that I just ended up hate-reading it.

Ghost
A Book that Still Haunts You.

Game of Thrones

#sorrynotsorry to anyone who likes this series, but… Ugh. Every time I think about this book, I practically break out in hives.

Demon
A Book that Really Scared You.

The Shining

I think The Shining was the first book that, when reading it at night, actually scared me. Especially when it really started to get good in the middle and towards the end. Very spooky.

Skeleton
A Character You Have a Bone to Pick With.

Listen. Like I said earlier, at the moment that I’m writing this, I haven’t finished Mockingjay, but dammit, Gale, you need to just stop being….and ass, honestly. I don’t think I’ve been a big fan of him at all throughout the trilogy. Like. At all.

Mummy
A Book You Would Preserve Throughout Time.

Six of Crows

*whispers* Is anyone surprised?

Creepy Doll
A Cover too Scary to Look At.

For now, I can’t really think of one. Maybe one of the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark covers, but I don’t have any outside of that.

The Monster Mash
It’s Fun to Be with Friends on Halloween!
Tag Your Friends!

Wow, okay, I’m really bad at tagging people, so we’ll see how this goes…

I tag:

There you have it, everyone! My very first Blogoween post! I hope you all enjoyed it, and I encourage you to try this tag out, as well as look into participating in Blogoween!

Until next time~
